Watch: Ukrainian comedian loses shoe during Eurovision performance

A Ukrainian comedian appeared to lose her shoe as she opened Eurovision with a throwback performance.

Verka Serduchka represented her nation in the 2007 competition with the song “Dancing Lasha Tumbai” and took to the stage once again - 16 years later - in front of a packed out crowd in Liverpool.

As she concluded her performance, Serduchka kicked off one of her shoes into the crowd.

“If you catch Verka’s shoe, hold on to it, that will be part of Eurovision mythology,” commentator Mel Giedroyc said.
