Eurovision 2023: The weird and wonderful moments from this year’s final
The Eurovision Song Contest of 2023 has come to an end with Sweden’s Loreen snatching this year’s title after an evening full of weird and wonderful moments.
The song contest started with a video introduction that included a piano solo performed by the Princess of Wales, and carried on with a live performance from the Liverpool stage that saw Ukrainian comedian Verka Serduchka losing a shoe.
Many other weird and wonderful moments unfolded throughout the night, with this year’s Eurovision commentator Mel Giedroyc churning butter behind Hannah Waddingham and host Graham Norton pretending to speak French.
Finally, with 583 points, Loreen brought home the Eurovision trophy.
