Josh O’Connor reveals which tennis star inspired ‘suggestive’ Challengers scene
Josh O’Connor has revealed which tennis star inspired a “lightly suggestive” scene in Challengers.
The Crown actor stars alongside Zendaya and Mike Faist in Luca Guadagnino’s new film following tennis prodigy-turned-coach Tashi Duncan whose endeavours to earn her husband (Faist) redemption take a turn when he faces his former best friend and Tashi’s ex-boyfriend, Patrick (O’Connor).
O’Connor told Capital Breakfast he channelled the “bad boy of tennis” Nick Kyrgios in one scene.
“There’s a scene where I’m eating a banana a little suggestively, and that was inspired by Kyrgios,” he said.
