Watch: Strictly’s Punam Krishan brings Motsi Mabuse to tears after historic Bollywood dance
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Dr Punam Krishan made history with the BBC show’s first-ever couples’ Bollywood performance, reducing Motsi Mabuse to tears on Saturday (5 October).
The Morning Live medic and her professional partner Gorka Marquez performed a routine to “Bhole Chudiye” from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, one of the highest-grossing movies in the Indian movie industry, in a nod to her South Asian heritage.
Receiving feedback from the judges after the performance, Krishan wiped away tears as Mabuse described how the dance moved her.
“I know so many people are watching you right now and feel so pleased to watch this on Strictly Come Dancing,” Mabuse added.
