BBC Breakfast viewers ‘uncomfortable’ after ‘presenters clash’
BBC Breakfast viewers were left uncomfortable after a clash between presenters Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt.
In the morning segment, Stayt proposed a question to Munchetty, asking which car related event happened in 1959.
Charlie Stayt added that the event was “very important in the car industry”, and quizzed Ben Thompson on his thoughts.
When asked how long the presenters had to guess the answer, Stayt explained “Well, you’re not really going to guess, are you? Or else you’d go on all day”.
Following incorrect guesses, Stayt revealed that the first Mini was unveiled on this day in 1959.
