Austin Butler recalls being rushed to hospital in ‘excruciating pain’ while filming Elvis
Austin Butler has described how he was rushed to hospital after suffering from “excruciating pain” as he was filming Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic.
The actor, who has been nominated for an Oscar for his performance as the “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll”, told People magazine that he was rushed to an emergency room and spent a week in bed after filming caught up with him.
Butler previously told British GQ that his body “started shutting down” as he was working on the film, after he contracted a virus that mimicked the symptoms of appendicitis.
