Humpback whales surround divers in extremely close encounter

A photographer from Moscow has captured some incredible images of Humpback Whales swimming around off the coast of the Ha’apai Islands in Tonga.

The two divers seemed to be hanging out with the two humpback whales for quite some time, and each seemed to be equally as curious of the other during the encounter.

The two whales in the above video are calves, and were apparently “playing around” with the divers as their mum slept.
