Enraged elephants chase after jeep full of tourists in terrifying close encounter

Two enraged elephants have been filmed chasing a jeep full of tourists as they attempted to speed away during a close encounter.

Terrifying footage captured the vehicle being chased down by the raging animal before coming face-to-face with another.

The clip was filmed in the Bandipur Tiger Reserve in South West India.

In a bid to escape the tense encounter, the driver beeped his car horn and turned on his headlights, seeing the jumbo turn and walk away.

It's thought the elephants reacted in this way following the birth of an elephant calf in the area.
