The winner is set to be announced at the World Travel Awards, the travel industry's most high-profile award ceremony, this Sunday, November 7.
David Beckham was nominated for his work as ambassador for England's 2018 World Cup bid, while Arnie appeared in Visit California adverts and Kevin Spacey fronted ads for American Airlines.
Usain Bolt won his nomination on the back of work with Jamaica's "Once you go you know" campaign and Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickenson was nominated for his work as marketing manager for Astraeus Airlines, which made headlines around the world.
Other nominees include Jamie and Louise Redknapp, a British couple credited with creating a surge in bookings for European travel brand Thomas Cook and Rafael Nadal, who appeared in a campaign for Mallorcan Tourism.
The celebrity category is one of several awards due to be presented on the night, which is the culmination of five heats honoring the best in travel from the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Ocean, Europe, Asia and Australasia and the Americas.
