The Dubai Airshow, one of the top air shows in the world, is slated to grow from the previous edition despite the recession in world air travel. The biennial show returns to the Dubai Airport Expo Centre with 50,000 attendees expected to review over 900 exhibitors. Major manufacturers such as Boeing and Airbus will be present and military planes such as the US Raptor fighter jet and the latest stealth jet will debut.

India's First Private Luxury Train Sets Off

Luxury train travel is returning to India in November with the launch of the Indian Maharaja-Deccan Odyssey, the nation's first privately operated luxury tourist train. The train harkens back to Orient Express refinement, with a Presidential Suite replicating a five-star hotel room. The seven-night, eight-day inaugural itinerary starts in Mumbai and finishes in Delhi.

Oasis of the Seas Maiden Voyage

The world's biggest and most expensive cruise ship will make its four-night maiden voyage from Fort Lauderdale to Labadee, Haiti. The 16-deck ship can accommodate up to 6,360 passengers and offers amenities such as rock-climbing, surfing and zip-lining. The €900 million extravaganza from Royal Caribbean aims to lure the first time cruiser.

Paris Nautical Show
December 5-13

Europe's third-biggest boat show will showcase the latest models in the nautical world. More than a quarter of a million visitors are expected to attend, as are 1,200 exhibitors representing 1,400 brands. Nearly 1,500 boats will be on display, including close to 300 new models.

2nd Emirates Boat Show International
December 8-12
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
More than 150 exhibitors are scheduled to be present and more than 200 boats will be in the water and onshore at the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club. The show, open to trade visitors and the public, will feature multi-million dollar yachts and the latest in marine accessories and electronics.
