Best Western opened two properties in Africa this week, marking its entry into Ghana and Nigeria. In Bangkok, Kempinski had its second hotel opening for the month, while Sofitel moved into the Chinese city of Dongguan.

Marking Best Western's first hotel in Ghana and the first Best Western Premier in Africa, Accra's newest hotel offers 89 rooms, 24 suites and an on-site restaurant, bar and jazz club.  The hotel's centerpiece is its five-storey atrium decorated with African art.

The Best Western Island Beach Hotel
Lagos, Nigeria

The 142-room Island Beach Hotel is located in the heart of Lagos's financial and business hub on Victoria Island's Bar Beach, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
