Mexico is in a party mood, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 1910 Revolution. Festivities include fireworks and parades, with a number of spin-off events, including a food festival in Playa del Carmen tomorrow ( tasteofplaya.com).

Miami Beach has a new hotel. The Lords South Beach opens tomorrow, geared towards a gay crowd ( lordssouthbeach.com). In Jamaica, Goldeneye reopens on Thursday. The former home of Ian Fleming now features beach cottages and suites, as well as Fleming's original villa ( goldeneye.com).
