3. Case study
HomingPIN is a new device that helps travellers locate lost luggage or personal items, such as laptops and mobiles. It works by attaching a small tag or sticker to the object, which is linked to an online account. 4. Take off
A challenger for the state-owned Air Greenland arrived this week, in the shape of Greenland Express. The new airline connects Denmark with Greenland and also offers links from Iceland's main airport at Keflavik to Narsarsuaq and Kangerlussuaq. 5. Night watch
The Stars of the White Nights festival takes place in Russia's most cosmopolitan city, St Petersburg, until 31 July. 7. Return visit
World Expeditions has reintroduced Kashmir to its portfolio, 20 years after it halted trips due to safety concerns. The news follows an FCO decision in 2012 to update its travel advice for the region in north-west India. 8. Island idyll
