Your support makes all the difference.As plans ramp up to restart travel, a cruise line has launched a 10-day “mystery” voyage to take adventure seekers around Europe.
Setting sail on 12 June 2022, the one-off sailing is being offered by Uniworld Boutique River Cruises.
Uniworld’s President & CEO Ellen Bettridge, who will be onboard, said the idea was hatched after customer feedback revealed cruisers would be “willing to travel anywhere” after months stuck under lockdown during the pandemic.
“At Uniworld, our guests never cease to amaze us with their incredible support and loyalty,” said Ms Bettridge. “They put their faith in us time and time again, so we decided to have some fun creating a one-of-a-kind Mystery Cruise with all new experiences that have never been included in Uniworld journeys before.
”It’s an incredible bucket list trip full of surprises for those that love the thrill of adventure; the biggest surprise being the itinerary reveal that will only happen when our guests are already on their way to the airport.“
According to the cruise line, the itinerary will feature “over-the-top, unique experiences both on and off the ship”.
Although guests won’t know where they’re going in advance, they will be given some clues in the run up to the voyage, as well as a packing list so they know what to bring.
The all-inclusive cruise costs from £4,999, including flights to join the cruise from its point of departure.
Unlimited selection of spirits and wines, wellness programmes, onboard entertainment, in-suite butler service, airport transfers and onboard gratuities are all included in the price.
“With vaccines rolling out and borders opening up, our guests have communicated that they’re willing to travel anywhere just to get back out there and explore the world once again,” Ms Bettridge said.
The cruise line follows in the footsteps of Qantas, which recently announced a relaunch of its “mystery flights”.
These domestic flights will depart from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, fly to an unknown destination no more than two hours away, and offer an experience on the ground before the return flight.
Experiences could include winemaking, a gourmet lunch or snorkelling by a tropical island, while the Boeing 737 flight itself will perform low-altitude flybys to enable sightseeing of famous landmarks.
