One of my favourite things had to be going to Aqualand – I went on pitch-dark water slides that had 45 degree drops. On our walks I came across bugs that were half-spider and half-ant; I liked them, until I found out from experience that they bite.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE
I hated the beds – I thought that someone had just taken a block of concrete and put a thin sheet over it. All the cats I saw were tremendously thin and had to beg to find food – this made me think of how fat English cats are.
WHAT I ATE & DRANK
I often had chicken and pork kebabs, which were delicious. I also had lasagne Corfiote-style, which has all the meat under a layer of toasted cheese. And I had baklava, a honey and nut sweet pastry. That was very scrumptious.
WHAT I SAW
On my walks I saw beautiful and sometimes scary scenery like giant precipices and enchanting olive groves. We also saw old women on donkeys carrying hay on their backs. I also saw the most amazing insects; at 3cm long it was the largest woodlouse that I had ever seen!
WHAT I BOUGHT
I bought a nail clipper with a map on the back for the lost tourist who likes to have the perfect manicure; a little village made of pottery for my bedside table; a lot of Corfiote stationery and a couple of rings. I also bought a pair of mosaic earrings for my granny and two large jars of Corfiote honey.
