Hot yoga, Tenerife Walking Festival, and self-drive Capability Brown Trail: Travel agenda
Where to go and what to know
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Canadian Affair has launched a sister operation for the US-bound market. American Affair will offer destinations including New York, New Orleans, Seattle, Death Valley and the Deep South. UK travellers can book city breaks, fly-drives, escorted coach tours, cruise tours, and rail holidays with the new operator.
Special one
The Civil Aviation Authority has made finding information about the special assistance services provided by airports a little easier by creating a CAA web directory. The single webpage includes direct links to the special assistance pages of all the UK's airports, as well as major airlines flying to and from the UK.
Garden route
Next year marks 300 years since the birth of Britain's best-known landscape gardener, Capability Brown. To celebrate, Farm Stay UK has launched a self-drive Capability Brown Garden Trail through Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Worcestershire, and Warwickshire, taking in some of Brown's most famous gardens.
Lab on loan
The owner of the newly-refurbished 17th-century Pitt Farm Cottage in Exmoor is offering to loan guests his pet labrador to take on walks. The property, which sleeps two, is new to Classic Cottages' portfolio, and a three-night stay in December costs £116pp.
Hot and cold
Hotpod Yoga has partnered with ski festival organiser The Ski Week to provide hot Vinyasa classes slope-side. They will take place in specially designed heated pop-up pods from 5 March – 19 March as part of The Ski Week's programme of events in Obertauern, Austria. The sessions will be available pre- and après ski.
Canary call
Registration is open for the Tenerife Walking Festival, from 29 March - 2 April 2016. It will feature 15 trails of varying degrees of difficulty, divided into three categories: volcanic landscapes, coastal paths and green trails. Participation is €20pp and includes daily transport and guided walks.
Touched
Mujjo has launched an improved selection of knitted touchscreen gloves featuring leather wrist straps and cuffs, a magnetic snap closure, fleece lining and grip dots on the palms to prevent slips. A version of the gloves with an extra lining for colder climes is also available. Prices start at €29.95.
Border line
Although Norway is outside the EU, it has long shared an open border with Sweden. Starting this week that has ended, with frontier controls reintroduced. The Foreign Office also warns of passport checks on ferry passengers arriving from Denmark and Germany.
