A mass fight broke out at Miami International Airport at the weekend.

The brawl began outside gate D-14 in the waiting area on 25 April.

Video shared on social media by director Billy Corben shows two separate fights happening.

“Guys, stop it, it’s an airport,” one bystander can be heard saying before shouting for security, as the perpetrators violently punch and kick one another.

“Help him, you’re going to f***ing kill him,” the same man says, as other witnesses chime in and implore them to stop fighting.

“Don’t do that, you’re going to get in trouble,” says one woman.

Other passengers can eventually be seen intervening, and manage to break some of the fighters apart, telling them to “calm down”.

“Today at Miami International Airport outside Urban Decay at Gate D14 #BecauseMiami,” tweeted Corben alongside the video.

“My sources say arrests were made. I’ve reached out to @MiamiDadePD for details and I’m waiting to hear back.”

The video has garnered more than 1.3 million views at the time of writing.

Police officers were deployed to the gate following reports of a fight, Miami Dade Police Department told Fox News.

One person was arrested for disorderly conduct.

It remains unclear what caused the fight to break out.

It’s not the first time this year that scenes of violence have played out at a US airport.

A vicious fight broke out at Fort-Lauderdale-Hollywood airport in March after some passengers refused to wear masks, delaying the flight.

The incident occurred after travellers were deplaned from a flight to Chicago because they wouldn’t put on face coverings.

The altercation broke out between the anti-mask passengers and those who were frustrated that their flight had been delayed, reports 7 News Miami.

Captured on camera at the American Airlines terminal, the fight was between three women, who can be seen smacking and punching each other and pulling one another’s hair in footage shared on social media.
