Every week, Jack Sheldon from Jack’s Flight Club selects a flight deal from the UK for Independent readers that you can’t afford to miss. This week: the Maldives for under £400.
This week we're seeing some super rare fares to the usually pricey-to-get-to Maldives with Turkish Airlines, departing from your choice of London, Manchester or Birmingham airports. Availability starts in November, which is the beginning of peak dry season for the islands and means you're much more likely to enjoy uninterrupted paradise perfection.
How to book
Go directly to Turkish Airlines' website (turkishairlines.com) and put in the rough dates you are hoping to travel. After clicking search, change the results view by selecting "show flights for whole week" to see the best options for travelling around your dates. The best fares are quite scattered, but here are a couple of good options I've spotted to use as a starting point: 4 to 19 December and 2 to 17 May.
1) Book directly with Turkish Airlines for slightly higher fares (but more flexibility should your plans change before your trip).
or
2) To save an additional £30 or so, head over to Momondo (momondo.co.uk), re-enter your itinerary, and book with the online travel agent offering the lowest fares.
Flight options from the UK

Return flights from Birmingham: £436
Return flights from Manchester: £431
When to fly
November 2017 to May 2018.
When to book
Most of these fares should last a few more days.
Pro tips
While these are the best options I've seen in some time for convenient return trips to the Maldives, if you'd like to visit two very different kinds of paradise islands on the same trip, SriLankan Airlines (srilankan.com) is also offering some really attractive 2-in-1 trip options to visit Sri Lanka (a personal favourite of mine) and the Maldives in one go at only £505 return from London Heathrow. There is availability throughout the year at the moment, but be sure to change your search settings from “round-trip” to “multi-city” when using google flights or kayak in order to find these. I found Sunday departure and return dates give best results.
