The giant saltwater pool is inside new beach club SantAnna, which officially opened its doors on the Greek island on 5 July.
Backing onto Paraga Beach and the Aegean Sea, the club also boasts a gym, salon, spa, three bars, two organic restaurants and a range of boutiques. Alongside the pool there are 28,000-square-feet of loungers and cabanas to relax on.
There’s free entry to the pool and club but visitors are charged for seating; it costs from around €20 to reserve a lounger, with prices changing depending on location.
Guests can also opt to relax away from prying eyes on a “VIP Island” – floating areas on the pool, coupled with private cabins underground where you can shower and change – for €500. There’s even a Royal Island, which boasts a larger area and access to an oversized subterranean apartment for when you want to nap indoors.
“Mykonos is known the world over as a vibrant summer destination among jetsetters and discerning travellers, but we found a need to cater to a more diverse and inclusive clientele,” said Dimitris Christoforidis of the beach bar’s parent company, Nice-n-Easy.
“We want to offer an equally lively atmosphere but in a more laid back, chic environment, not only for revellers, but for families, groups and single guests alike.”
Visitors can choose from a 300-seater restaurant offering artisanal Mediterranean cuisine that’s locally sourced with vegan, vegetarian or gluten/dairy free options available, or a more intimate 45-seater sushi and raw bar.
There will be DJ sets every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer too, ranging from deep house to dance. SantAnna has a range of concierge services, with island tours, private transportation, helicopter services, private water taxis, golf carts and private security all on the menu.
The club is open seasonally from May to October.
