From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Air Arabia, the largest budget airline in the Middle East and North Africa, announced October 12 that a twice-weekly service from Sharjah, UAE, to Samara, Russia, will begin October 26.

The inauguration of service to the city east of Moscow, and located along the Volga River, is the first Russian destination for the low cost carrier.

It is now Air Arabia's second stop in Eastern Europe, following the earlier introduction of services to Kiev, Ukraine.

Flights will operate Mondays and Fridays, departing Sharjah at 9:10 in the morning and arriving in Samara at 13:40.

Return flights will depart Samara at 14:40 and arrive in Sharjah at 19:05 on Mondays and Fridays as well. Prices start around €170 each way.

Air Arabia now serves 59 destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Asia.
