Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Talk show host and video game fan Jimmy Fallon used part of his December 13 late night show to play through a demo of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, which is set to be one of 2011's most anticipated video games.
The segment saw one of the Uncharted developers play through part of the game, guiding intrepid explorer Nathan Drake through a burning French chateau, before handing off to an excited Fallon.
The Uncharted series has become a flagship brand for Sony's PlayStation 3, with the series' developer Naughty Dog having previously made the Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter series for PlayStation One and PlayStation 2 respectively.
Uncharted 3's November 1, 2011 release date means that it will arrive shortly after action games Resistance 3 (PS3) and RAGE (PC, 360 and PS3).
Also releasing around the same time will be The Elder Scrolls V role playing game (PC, 360 and PS3) and, should Activision follow its usual publishing timetable, a new Call of Duty title. Just after will be Forza Motorsport 4 (360) and Batman: Arkham Asylum (PC, 360 and PS3).
