From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The 10 most popular games on videogame guide website GameFAQs Wednesday include the best-selling Modern Warfare 2, 2009's in-depth role playing game Dragon Age: Origins, some early January releases and two games that are currently exclusive to Japan.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 tops the chart on the site with the Xbox 360 version as has been occurring at retail near constantly since its November 10 release in 2009, and the PlayStation 3 equivalent makes an appearance a few spaces down the chart. Currently available walkthroughs encompass overall gameplay, specific in-game achievements, and the competitive and co-operative multiplayer modes.

Dragon Age: Origins is an extremely deep and engrossing role-playing game with many overlapping stories and unforseen consequences as players choose which quests to take up as they trace the history of select dwarves, elves, and humans in a fantasy land. It's no surprise then that exhaustive guides and even specific puzzle solutions have proven popular as players make their way through the Dragon Age mythos, especially with the regular addition of extra game content emerging from game makers BioWare.

Elsewhere, two unreleased games feature as site users eager to get a glimpse of the latest Japanese chart-toppers read up on storyline and technique: the new Final Fantasy XIII was released in Japan on December 17 2009 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and will not be available in North America and European regions until March 9.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is the sixtth core game in the Kingdom Hearts series, featuring original characters as well as those from both the Disney stable and the Final Fantasy games. It was out in Japan on January 9 but as of yet does not have a release date set elsewhere.
