An organisation which represents the UK videogames industry has been shortlisted for seven prestigious trade awards.

TIGA has been named in seven categories in the 2011 Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards.

The group won Trade Association of the Year and the Member Recruitment Award at the awards in 2010.

And this year it is leading the pack, having been shortlisted for the categories of best annual report, commercial Initiative, marketing campaign, membership pack, membership success, publication and sector representation.

PCG, the body for freelancers, consultants, interims and contractors in the UK, is up for four awards for electronic communication, membership success, publication and sector representation.

The British Insurance Brokers Association, the British Beer and Pub Association and the Mineral Products Association have each been nominated in three categories.

The winners of each category will be announced at the Plaisterers’ Hall in London on 7th July.
