Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. While Microsoft ready the hands-free street dance game Dance Central for use with the Xbox 360's Kinect camera, Sony are giving their own SingStar Dance a spit and polish, revealing the 30 tracks that will ship with the latest SingStar's disc, ranging from Gloria Gaynor right up to Lady Gaga.
'I Will Survive' and 'Poker Face' are joined by disco classics such as Cyndi Lauper's 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' and Diana Ross' 'Baby Love' as well as the modern day floor fillers of La Roux' 'Bulletproof' and Outkast's 'Hey Ya!'.
In fact, Lady Gaga is just one of the artists that features in both SingStar Dance and Dance Central. Pitbull, Salt N Pepa, and Soulja Boy have tracks duplicated across both releases: 'I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)', 'Push It', and 'Crank That'.
The Wii's upcoming dance game, October's Just Dance 2, also gets in on the sharing action, having 'Hey Ya!' and Jamiroquai's 'Cosmic Girl' in common with SingStar as well as Dance Central's 'Body Movin' by The Beastie Boys.
Rather than transforming into an out-and-out dance tutor, SingStar Dance remains true to its karaoke heritage while experimenting with the optional PlayStation Move controller for those that want to strut their stuff.
Other tracks selected for inclusion are 'Heart of Glass' by Blondie, 'I Want You Back' by the Jackson 5, 'Standing in the way of Control' by Gossip and 'With You' by Chris Brown.
There's even room for MC Hammer's 'U Can't Touch This' and Jason Nevins' remix of 'It's Like That' by RUN DMC.
SingStar Dance is scheduled for release on November 5 in Europe and November 9 in North America. Dance Central for Xbox 360 Kinect comes out on November 4 in North America and November 11 in Europe. For the full list of SingStar Dance tracks, see the European PlayStation blog.
