Your support makes all the difference.Samsung has confirmed that its next major smartphone launch will take place next month.
The South Korean firm is holding an event on 23 August, called “Unpacked”.
Last year’s Unpacked event saw the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the now infamous smartphone that had to be recalled twice after models started exploding.
This year’s Unpacked poster has the tagline: “Do bigger things”.
It also teases a large display, similar to the one that features on the Samsung Galaxy S8, and a stylus, which is the Note line’s hallmark.
The company hasn't yet revealed the phone's release date, but it will likely hit the shelves in early September, just before the next batch of iPhones come out.
Samsung has also tweeted a GIF that shows the stylus being used to create the poster.
The tagline all-but-confirms that the Note 8 will be bigger than than the 6.2-inch S8 Plus, a phone we considered to be unnecessarily large.
Recent reports have suggested it will feature a huge 6.3-inch display, which could be too much to handle for a lot of consumers.
However, the stylus should make things easier.
The Note line of smartphones tends to be more productivity-focused than the S line, though the S8 and S8 Plus have made their own work-related push with DeX.
One thing the phones are almost certain to have in common is a very attractive, “all-screen” design.
However, the Note 8 could also share the S8’s worst feature – its small and badly positioned fingerprint sensor.
