Your support makes all the difference.HP is connecting smartphone users with printers in hotel lobbies and airport lounges and FedEx Office stores with a new wireless printing app called HP ePrint service.
The app connects iPhone users to a network of thousands of HP ePrint Mobile Print Locations across the world, making it easy to securely print emails, presentations, reports and travel documents stored on their smartphone while they are traveling or out of the office.
The app uses GPS coordinates to locate nearby printing locations or lets you search by public print location.
"By 2014, 90 percent of global Fortune 1000 companies will implement cloud printing services for mobile personnel, showing what HP has known for years – mobility is not a trend, it's a way of life," said Bruce Dahlgren, senior vice president, Managed Enterprise Solutions, Imaging and Printing Group, HP in an April 11 statement introducing the app.
HP is ramping up its commitment to mobile printing. The company recently added support for Google's remote printing service, Cloud Print, on selected HP printers and has also released a wireless printing app for BlackBerry devices.
HP has also worked with Apple to create AirPrint (Apple's version of wireless printing) enabled printers.
According to Android blog Androinica, HP will launch an Android-compatible ePrint service app on May 1.
