LG Mobile World Cup names the fastest texters in the world

Two teenage South Koreans were named the world's fastest texters at the LG Mobile World Cup in New York City announced LG on January 15.
The competition was launched to celebrate mobile culture and to feature cutting-edge mobile technology. More than 6 million people took part in the LG Mobile World Cup that began in May 2009, making it the world's premier mobile festival.
South Korea's Yong-Ho Bae, 18, and Mok-Min Ha, 17, beat challengers from Australia, the United States, Argentina, Russia, New Zealand, Portugal, South Africa, Canada, Spain, Indonesia and Mexico to earn the title of world's fastest texters and to take home the winning prize of $100,000.
"All the contestants at the World Cup are at the cutting edge of mobile technology and the earliest to embrace the latest mobile trends," said Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
