From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

In anticipation of the iPhone 4's imminent retail release, Electronic Arts has slashed prices on some of the company's most popular iPhone games, making them available for as little as $0.99 for a limited time only.

The sale runs until June 24, ensuring that the current best-selling games on iTunes will be rammed full of EA titles as iPhone 4 owners navigate their way to the online store for the first time on their brand new touchscreen devices.

As well as variations on traditional board games such as Battleship, Clue, Connect 4, The Game of Life and Trivial Pursuit, the reductions also extend to versions of familiar video games such as Command & Conquer: Red Alert, FIFA 10 and FIFA World Cup, Madden NFL 10, Need for Speed Shift, and SimCity.

Revealed on June 4 by Apple chief executive Steve Jobs, the iPhone 4 contains several hardware improvements over previous iterations and comes pre-loaded with an overhauled operating system.
