AS 9to5Mac reports, this image is one of the few which shows an actual phone - previous leaks have mostly consisted of schematic drawings, internal components, or digital mock-ups.
Even though it shows a real device, that doesn't mean it's the actual iPhone 7. There's been plenty of leaks about the highly-anticipated new phone, some of which have differed slightly from this one.
However, some elements of the picture fit in with other leaks. The 'hidden' antenna lines, which go over the top of the phone rather than the back, have been rumoured before, and the camera arrangement in the corner matches up with earlier images.
There's no iPad-style 'smart connector' or dual-camera setup, however, both rumoured features for the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus which have surfaced in the last few months.
As always, it's best to take these leaks with a pinch of salt. We'll only know what the phone really looks in September, at its unveiling.
Expect a few more batches of enticing and contradictory leaks to drop in the meantime.
