Fans of the extremely popular video game Fortnite will soon have a new game to play - but it won’t require internet connection.

In what will be an interesting collaboration, Epic Games, the creators of Fortnite and Hasbro have teamed up to create Fortnite Monopoly - a new version of the classic board game, it was announced September 6.

However, eager fans were disappointed Thursday after a link to preorder the highly-anticipated game from Zavvi mysteriously disappeared.

If the game is released, the Fortnite edition won’t resemble a typical Monopoly game - it will instead feature new rules, objectives and a new look.

The biggest resemblance to the internet game, which is set in a dystopian world, will be the mission of the new board game - to be the last person standing.

This means that Monopoly money has been replaced with health-points (HP) and the way to acquire property is to simply take it - on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To advance around the game, players will roll two dice, movement and action - one for moving forward, and another which can be used to receive bandages, build walls, or detonate Boogie Bombs, where all players lose a life.

The game will also feature storm cards, which can be used on enemy properties to damage the owners.

If the game doesn’t sound like the Monopoly you grew up with, you’ll be happy to know that the Go, Free Parking and Jail space will still be included.

As of now, the link to preorder Fortnite Monopoly is no longer available.

The game is expected to be released on November 26 in the UK only.
