Your support makes all the difference.Sony has confirmed it plans to bring its expertise in the 3D imaging field to consumer cameras in the near future.
Sony's president of Personal Imaging and Sound, Masashi Imamura, confirmed that the company is focused on fully integrating 3D technologies in its consumer camera range to photography blog Digital Photography Review February 22.
"Mr Imamura admitted that 3D imaging is an area into which Sony is keen to expand," wrote Digital Photography Review.
Sony will be almost a full year behind Fujifilm who released the world's first 3D consumer cameras, FinePix Real 3D W1 and FinePix Real 3D V1, in September 2009.
Sony is getting set to bring its LX900 and HX900 3D TVs to consumers in summer 2010. In February it will also release its line of 3D-ready Blu-ray players.
Sony's 3D compatible digital still cameras are scheduled to be introduced in 2010 adding to the company's greater vision of bringing 3D entertainment into the home in 2010.
