People across the world are sharing their sympathies and well-wishes for those affected by the tsunami and volcanic eruption in Indonesia.

The "Mentawai" Islands, a group of islands located off the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia devastated by the October 25 tsunami, are also in Twitter's trending topics in eighth place.

Technology blog Engadget posted pictures of the rumored Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone and microbloggers are tweeting about how much they want one.

"PlayStation Phone" is surrounded by the memes "#whodoesthat" in second place and "#teamlakers" in fourth place.

The name of Korean TV star Shin "Sekyung" is fifth on the chart, the name of American actor Charlie "Sheen" takes sixth place and the name of this week's episode of the American TV series Glee (The Rocky "Horror Glee" Show) is in seventh place.

Indian Booker Prize-winner "Arundhati Roy" is a hot topic of discussion in the microblogs Wednesday ranking in ninth place. "White iPhone" is one place behind as people use their 140 characters to speculate when the white edition of Apple's iPhone 4 will arrive in stores.
