Following the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's death on December 8, Twitter users are making fun of other microbloggers for misspelling the name of the Beatles star, saying "You can spell 'Yoko Ono' but apparently don't have the intelligence to spell 'Lenon' the correct way." "Lenon" is trending in eighth place.
"Operation Payback" is the name of a series of DDoS attacks organized by internet activists that (among other things) recently took down the websites of companies opposing WikiLeaks.
Some people on Twitter are sharing news about Operation Payback while others are using the trending topic to joke about the situation.
