From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

COM-IT is preparing to showcase the latest in technological innovations in Mumbai, a hotbed of tech activity.

International and local IT exhibitors will display next-year's IT products at COM-IT - the largest annual Information Technology infrastructure expo and conference in India.

The COM-IT expo encompasses a range of products and services, from CDs to storage systems to eCommerce solutions. Past exhibitors have included Hewlett Packard, Samsung, Intel and dozens more.

Organizers are presenting the exhibition as a chance to develop global connections between technology manufacturers, distributors, CEOs and IT personnel. Visitors have the opportunity to peruse all of the latest products in the IT world, and members of the industry can discuss the newest advancements and opportunities in the field with businesses and IT leaders.

This year COM-IT organizers are encouraging exhibitors to provide shoppers with competitive "on-the-spot" prices on next year's technology products in collaboration with the Mumbai's Computer & IT Products Shopping Festival initiative.

COM-IT is smaller than the Asia IT expo - an Asia-wide IT expo that took place in the same venue in September 2009. Similar events in Asia include ITEXPO, China International Digital Communication & Netbook Exhibition (IDCNE) and Computech India.
