History: Institute of Business Studies (IBS-Moscow) Academy of National Economy under the Government of Russia is a leading business school in the country. The Institute was established in 1988 as a private business school in the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). In the year of 1994 the Institute has moved to the campus of the Academy of National Economy. IBS-Moscow has AMBA accreditation and currently is on the final stage of getting EQUIS. MBA programme in the Institute was started in 1999 and Executive MBA (the first in the country) in 2002.
Address: The school is located on the campus of Academy in the prestigious South -Western part of the city. It’s about 20 minutes from the centre of the city by metro.
Ambience: Modern and well equipped campus of the Academy consists of classes, library and sports facilities, hotel and cafeterias.
Vital statistics: More than 1,500 students on postgraduate and undergraduate programs. On Postgraduate programs we have different formats of education: weekend, modular and evening. The working language of the programs is Russian. The graduates receive State Diplomas.
Easy to get into? The school looks for top-level applicants. For the Executive MBA, you’ll need at least 5 years of managerial experience and a position of a top manager. The MBA requires at least two years of business experience.
International connections: The Institute is a full member of AACSB, EFMD, AMBA, Executive MBA Council. It has partner agreements with Judge Business School Cambridge University, Durham Business School, Rotterdam School of Management, MIB School of Management. Every year the school hosts international modules for the MBA students from many US and European universities.

Student profile: Average age of students is: EMBA – 38years, MBA – 32 years. Three-quarters of the intakes are Russian and the rest represent CIS countries and Baltics States. About a quarter of the students are female.
