Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

History: Founded in 1979, the European Business School was originally an international institution with campuses in London, Paris, Frankfurt and Milan. This relationship existed until 1985 when the union separated, with each branch retaining the old name but with the city name attached. European Business School London is now one of seven specialist schools at Regent's College London, the largest college of private higher education in the UK.

Address: All classes are based at the single campus at Inner Circle, Regent's Park, London.

Ambience: The tranquil surroundings provide a haven from the fast pace of London life. The single campus in Regent's Park, one of the most popular Royal Parks in London, is surrounded by classical style terraces and beautiful rose gardens. The Park spans over 410 acres and includes a lake, canal and a number of villas. Regent's Park is home to the London Zoo, the Royal Botanic Society and a number of other organisations and institutions. It is also the largest outdoor sports area in London.

Vital statistics: Approximately 4,000 students on campus each year from over 130 different countries; 3,000 undergraduate and 1,000 postgraduate.

Added value: The College’s practically focused courses develop students’ skills and employability in and outside of the classroom. Many courses place a strong emphasis on experiential learning. All courses help students to develop their teamwork and leadership skills, as well as improving research, negotiating and presentation skills.

Easy to get into: Entry into MA programmes, and the MSc in Oil and Gas Trade Management, requires a minimum of a lower second class UK Honours undergraduate degree, or its international equivalent, in any discipline, from a recognised institution, and fluency in English. The Msc in Global Banking and Finance has the same requirements, although successful applicants must also demonstrate mathematical proficiency.

Glittering alumni: The College’s alumni occupy positions of responsibility in finance, commerce, manufacturing, government and the arts all over the world and provide assistance to current students and fellow alumni following in their footsteps. Well known alumni and students include: TV Chef Anjum Anand and Stephanie Vidal, the European Head of Marketing for Apple (listed in Marketing Magazine’s Power 100).

Student profile: Students from more than 100 different countries register for EBSL's degrees each year.

Gurus: Asif Ali-Khan is currently the programme director for the MBA in International Business at EBS London, and teaches HRM, Organisational Behaviour and Strategic Management.

Cost: MA and Msc degrees start at £14,975.

Who's the boss? Professor Aldwyn Cooper joined Regent’s College as principal and chief executive in December 2006. Aldwyn Cooper is a cognitive psychologist by background. Since his time in the US as a Harkness Fellow at Stanford and Berkeley in the mid seventies he has worked with universities in the development of a wide range of distance and technology enhanced teaching, training and learning projects for the public and private sector.
