London Towers need just one more victory from their remaining three matches to win their first Budweiser League title. Towers negotiated a potentially tricky hurdle last night when they beat Chester Jets 126- 71.
The American Tony Windless was Towers' top scorer with 25 points as the the visitors effectively sealed the game by half time when they led 62- 31.
Birmingham Bullets remain on course to finish third in the table when they saw off Hemel Royals 94-81. The match was closely fought in the first half and the teams went into the interval level at 43-43.
Bullets then pulled clear to lead 60-49 towards the end of the third quarter, and even though Jason Siemon weighed in with a total of 22 points, Royals could find no way back. Doncaster Panthers returned to form by beating Leicester Riders 90-62.
