Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Magic Monday at Wimbledon sees all remaining singles competitors in action on one of the grand days in the schedule, with the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams all gracing Centre Court at SW19.

Reigning Wimbledon champion Federer gets the action underway as he takes on Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, before the women's singles takes centre stage at Williams plays unseeded Russian Evgeniya Rodina.

The final match on Centre Court sees No 2 seed Nadal face Jiri Vesely, with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.

Court 1 sees plenty of big names too, as two-time Grand Slam winner Angelique Kerber kicks the action off against Belinda Bencic, before Gael Monfils plays Kevin Anderson and Novak Djokovic looks to continue his impressive run this summer against Karen Khachanov. An appetising encounter on Court 2 will round out the action as Juan Martin del Potro faces Gilles Simon.

British interest in the singles competitions may be over, but there's still home hopes in the doubles as Jamie Murray partners with Bruno Soares to play British brothers Kenneth and Neal Skupski, while in the mixed doubles Jay Clarke and Harriet Dart play the pairing of Max Mirnyi and Kveta Peschke.
