SW19 Diary: Bolly's holy cow proves infectious

Nick Bollettieri has proved quite a hit around the BBC this Wimbledon. The effervescent 80-year-old has infectious language skills too. As Independent readers will know, "Holy cow" is a favourite expression of his – and John Lloyd trotted it out while discussing the day's events with Sue Barker on Saturday.

Police keep eagle eye out for Rufus

Rufus, the hawk employed to scare off unwanted birds from Wimbledon, is still missing. Taken on Thursday night, the hawk hasn't been seen since. Merton police believe he has been abandoned somewhere in the local area still in his box. Reports of a ransom note written in pigeon English are unconfirmed.

Two pats on the back for Baker

The award for Best Wimbledon Slip of the Tongue goes to the ever-excellent Danny Baker on Radio 5Live on Saturday morning. Pat Cash was a guest on his show and was addressed by Baker as Pat Sharp. Baker should be excused, though: take a glance at a picture of both in their glorious, mulleted prime and it's not hard to see why he muddled up the former Wimbledon winner and the London DJ and kids' TV presenter.

Errani finds first set just pointless

Unwanted stat of the weekend has to belong to Sara Errani, the 10th seed. In the first set of her defeat to Yaroslava Shvedova, she failed to win a single point. After five and a half hours on court on Saturday in the second-longest match in Wimbledon history, diligent Marin Cilic hared off to Centre Court to keep an eye on his next opponent: not good news for anyone in the seat immediately behind the 6ft 6in Croat.
