Novak Djokovic kept alive his hopes of regaining his No 1 status in the world rankings by reaching the Paris Masters semi-finals with a convincing victory over Stanislas Wawrinka.
The Serb, who was replaced at the top of the rankings by Rafael Nadal last month, won 6-1, 6-4 to extend his winning run to 15 matches. He faces Roger Federer in the last four after the Swiss was forced to dig deep into his reserves to defeat Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
