Your support makes all the difference.Laura Robson has parted company with coach Patrick Mouratoglou, the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) confirmed this afternoon.
Media reports this morning suggested that Robson had split with the Frenchman after a poor season in which she fell to 257th in the rankings.
Now just five days before the start of her Wimbledon campaign it has been confirmed that the 17-year-old has ended her association with Mouratoglou.
An LTA spokesperson said: "The reports from today are true. Laura has parted company with her coach."
Robson had spent much of the six months since Mouratoglou's appointment at his tennis academy near Paris.
The 17-year-old former junior champion shot to fame after a narrow defeat to then world number four Jelena Jankovic in last year's Wimbledon, but her career has stuttered slightly since.
A week prior to this year's Wimbledon, Robson crashed out of the Unicef Open in Holland with a first round defeat in which she served 13 double faults.
Robson said later in a statement that decision to split from Mouratoglou was made by both parties.
She said: "I have done a lot of my training at MTA (Mouratoglou Tennis Academy) over the past three years and recently Patrick Mouratoglou and (co-coach) Rodolphe Fabre have been coaching me which has been a great experience that I have enjoyed and learned a lot from.
"We are parting ways by mutual agreement and I really appreciate all that Patrick and his team have done for me.
"We both felt the time was right to make a change."
She continued by saying that she will not start the search for a replacement until after the championships at SW19.
"After Wimbledon identifying a new coach will be important, but right now I want concentrate on getting ready for Wimbledon, which I am really looking forward to."
