From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Tim Henman is determined to get the better of Andy Murray when he meets the British No 1 for the second time in a week. Henman plays the 19-year-old in the first round of the Masters tournament in Cincinnati today, six days after losing to him in Toronto.

It was Murray's second victory in their two contests and Henman believes it is time to get one back. "Obviously, it's not an easy match. It never is when you play against somebody from the same country," Henman said. "But it's a good opportunity for me as last week's loss to Andy left a bitter taste in my mouth. It's nice to be able to get back on court so soon with him to try to play better to give myself a better chance of beating him."

Murray has been in good form of late and has risen to 21 in the latest world rankings. Henman, the world No 59, added: "There are a handful of players that are on a roll at the moment and Andy's certainly one of those."

The British No 3, Greg Rusedski, is also in Cincinnati. He plays fourth seeded Croat Ivan Ljubicic.
