Your support makes all the difference.Glasgow's Braehead Arena will host its second consecutive Davis Cup tie when Great Britain take on Hungary in September, the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) announced yesterday.
A sell-out crowd witnessed an Andy Murray-inspired team beat Luxembourg 4-1 earlier this month, and the success of the tie, on and off the court, persuaded the LTA to return to Scotland.
The winner of the contest, which takes place from 16 to18 September, will earn promotion to Europe/Africa Zone Group I. Murray's presence less than a week after the US Open final is far from guaranteed but the opportunity to compete on home soil again will be a big draw after his last emotional performance.
The team captain, Leon Smith, said: "We know Hungary will be tough to beat but, if we get a full house behind us again, there's no reason why we can't make it back up into Group I again."
