Annacone, who coached Pete Sampras and Tim Henman, was one of several high-profile recruits to the LTA following Roger Draper's appointment as chief executive. However, there has been little sign of an improvement in the fortunes of the British men, with Andy Murray (No 4) and Alex Bogdanovic (No 160) the only players in the world's top 250.
Leon Smith, the LTA's new head of men's tennis, said: "Both Paul and I recognise that there is still a long way to go, but, thanks to Paul's contribution, we are heading in the right direction."
