From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Andy Murray has made two important additions to his management team. Simon Fuller's XIX Entertainment, who have handled the Scot's business affairs since 2007, have joined forces with Globosport, which is run by the Indian player Mahesh Bhupathi, in a new venture which will see Murray become its first client.
As part of the new deal Murray will also team up with Ugo Colombini, a former player and highly experienced agent who has worked closely with Juan Martin del Potro.
Bhupathi's company will provide expertise in the expanding Asian markets - his business has built up a strong reputation in sports management, TV and film production - while 45-year-old Colombini, an Italian, will bring more tennis specialist expertise to Murray's management team.
"I believe a mix of Simon's experience and Mahesh's understanding of the sport will create the perfect team for my off-court interests and will allow me to continue to dedicate myself and focus on my goals on the court," Murray said in a statement.
