Your support makes all the difference.GREAT BRITAIN'S swimmers claimed four bronzes yesterday on the final day of the European Short Course Championships in Lisbon to take their tally to 15 medals.
Sue Rolph came third in the 200m individual medley, while Adam Whitehead in the 200m breast-stroke, and the men's and women's 4x50m medley relay teams also won bronze.
Britain ended the competition with three gold, three silver and nine bronze medals.
Rolph was in the relay team that smashed the British record by 1.68sec, finishing in 1min 51.64sec behind Sweden, who set a new world record. The other members were Katy Sexton, Zoe Baker and Nicola Jackson.
The men's relay team - Neil Willey, Darren Mew, James Hickman and Mark Foster - finished in 1:36.70. Foster made the medal chance possible after sacrificing his opportunity to go for gold in the 50m butterfly, despite qualifying for the final in the fastest time. He has been unwell and did not feel up to two races.
Britain's national performance director, Deryk Snelling said: "This was a great team effort. We had some outstanding performances which bode well for the Olympics."
Hickman won Britain's third gold on Saturday in the 200m butterfly. Rolph won her second silver in the 50m freestyle.
