Your support makes all the difference.Endurance riding's premier event has attracted a record entry of 144 horses for its 100- and 50-mile rides over two days this year. The first horse in the 100 miles will set off from Exford, Somerset for the first leg of 50 miles at 7.30am on Monday, the rest following at 30-second intervals. Spectators and crews will follow the competitors on to Exmoor to provide water for the horses. By 2.15pm the first horses are expected back at Exford. On Tuesday at 7.30am, riders in the 50 miles start their competition, covering the route in reverse. The 100-mile entrants follow for their second leg.
How to get there: The Auction field, Exford, Somerset is on the B3224 across Exmoor. Competitors will be riding 50-mile circuits east and north of Exford over Exmoor. Spectating points: Monday: Dunkery Beacon (first horse 8.10am), Porlock (10.15am), Holnicote (half-way halt, 10.30am), Wootton Courtney (12.45pm), Exford (finish, 2.15pm). Tuesday (reverse circuit): Wootton Courtney (9am), Holnicote (half-way halt, 10.30am), Porlock (11.30am), Dunkery Beacon (1.30pm), Exford (finish, 2.10pm).
