CHEN XINHUA, of Rotherham, has retained the No 1 spot on the new England men's ranking list issued yesterday. Matthew Syed, of Oxford University, is second and the Isle of White's Carl Prean is third. The England women's champion, Lisa Lomas, is still on top of the women's list, ahead of the 1993 champion Andrea Holt, from Lancashire.
