Sue Rolph is the first British swimmer to gain pre-selection for the Sydney Olympics after winning the 100m freestyle at the British Championships in Sheffield. The 21-year-old lowered her own British and Commonwealth record by 0.12sec as she recorded a time of 55.05sec - 0.10sec inside the pre-selection time for next year's Olympics.
