Marseille are accused of 'fixing' a league game in May. Jean-Jacques Eydelie, the Marseille player who has admitted paying money to opposing players, was released from custody yesterday after telling a judge that match-fixing was common in French football.
DINAMO TBILISI, the champions of Georgia, were yesterday admitted by Uefa to this season's European Cup. The former Soviet Supreme League club will be one of 42 teams in today's draw. Hajduk Split, of Croatia, were admitted to the European Cup-Winners' Cup, but will play their home games in Zagreb.
LUTHER BLISSETT, the 35-year-old former England striker given a free transfer by Watford, is to join Wimborne Town of the Jewson Wessex League.
